PRETORIA – Lex Libertas today published the trailer for the upcoming documentary film, Crossed Out: Confronting Persecution in South Africa, which will be released in Washington, D.C. in September as part of the White Cross Project.
The documentary examines a number of the central issues that underpin the Lex Libertas White Cross Project, including farm murders, political incitement, race-based legislation, threats to property rights, and the broader political crisis in South Africa.
The film features several farm attack survivors and a list of stakeholders and civil society leaders, including Dr. Theo de Jager, Chairman of the Southern African Agricultural Initiative (SAAI), Adv. Mark Oppenheimer, leading expert on free speech, Prof. William Gumede, researcher and published author, Dr. Martin van Staden, Editor of the Race Law Index, Ayanda Zulu, researcher at the Free Market Foundation, and Stefano Forte, President of the New York Young Republican Club (NYYRC).
The film also considers the deeper structural questions surrounding South Africa’s political order and explores the case for sustainable solutions based on freedom, decentralisation, and self-governance.
Crossed Out forms part of Lex Libertas' broader effort to bring the realities facing Afrikaners and other cultural minorities to the attention of an international audience, while directing that attention towards practical and sustainable solutions. The White Cross Project will culminate in Washington, D.C. in September, where 3,000 white crosses will be displayed on the National Mall in remembrance of farm murder victims.
Lex Libertas is arranging screenings in Washington, D.C. during the project’s programme in September.

The three participants are Amanda Platt, Heidie Taljaard and Leon Lotz. Each will bring a different perspective on the human consequences of farm attacks.
