Truth Be Told Campaign
Because silence will not bring change.
Have you been silenced? Do you feel unheard? Your voice matters.
Share Your Story NowDuring a recent White House meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, U.S. President Donald Trump played a video to highlight the targeting and persecution of minority communities in South Africa. Following the event, some media figures and analysts—both in South Africa and abroad—were quick to dismiss the video as misinformation, fabrication, or conspiracy theory. One prominent American talk show host even described it as a "deepfake."
This is why Lex Libertas has launched the Truth Be Told campaign (in Afrikaans, Die waarheid moet uit-veldtog): to enable people who live in—or have spent time in—South Africa to share their stories with the world. Lex Libertas will compile these stories and present them to a range of role players in South Africa, the United States, and several international forums. These stories will also be used for communication efforts and to encourage major international podcasters and documentary filmmakers to visit South Africa and speak with people about their personal experiences… because silence will not bring change.

Your Voice Has Been Missing
For too long, your experiences have been dismissed, ignored, or silenced. The world needs to hear what you've witnessed, what you've endured, and what you know to be true.
Been Ignored?
Your story matters
Been Silenced?
We want to hear you
Have Truth to Tell?
The world needs to know
We are particularly interested in stories about:
Farm attacks
Violence and threats against rural communities and agricultural workers
Racial exclusion and discrimination against minorities
Systematic exclusion and unfair treatment based on race or ethnicity
Threats to property rights
Challenges to land ownership, expropriation, and property security
The consequences of government collapse
Impact of failing infrastructure, corruption, and breakdown of public services
Your Story Matters
Everyone in South Africa has a story—of hope, heartbreak, struggle, or survival. These stories matter, and the world needs to hear them. Truth Be Told is a campaign to amplify voices that have been ignored, silenced, or overlooked. It's about real people, real experiences, and real consequences. When truth is told, change becomes possible.
